Our Apprentice of the Year!
Greta Thornton, Reigate Manor's Reception Manager, won 'Apprentice of the Year' at the Gatwick Diamond Business Annual Awards!
Greta’s first successful apprenticeship programme was the Level 2 Hospitality Team Member and later she progressed onto the Level 4 Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship which she is close to completing.
Greta said on receiving the award, “I’m delighted to receive this award as it is a huge recognition and appreciation for all the work I’ve done since I started at Reigate Manor. Thank you for Rewards Training on their continuous support in my studies, especially for Lenka Nunn for her dedication towards my training.”
Greta talks about her Apprenticeship journey:
GilesThomas, Operations Director of Manor Collection Hotels, on Apprenticeships with Rewards Training:
"My reason to join an apprenticeship programme [...] was due to me wanting to progress myself and find a career without going to University.
I will be receiving promotion to become fully fledged rather than an apprentice.
I will then take on more responsibility. I adapted my way of working due to my project I completed for the apprenticeship."
"I grew as a person and in an office environment.
I enjoyed the learning because despite doing business
A-Level, there was so much more for me to learn.
My employer was very supportive during my whole apprenticeship."
"The Business Administration Apprenticeship is so broad that it can provide you with the opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of business such as HR, quality, projects, finance and marketing which is really beneficial."
